Those selected for the LI-MMIT Talented-Programe will be required to travel to Thailand to undertake English language studies and related coursework at the Chiang Mai University Language Institute. Applicants who are not currently residing in Thailand, not enrolled in an international program within the country, or are studying abroad will receive administrative support for passport and visa processing. This process will be managed by the Chiang Mai University Language Institute, ensuring that all procedures are completed efficiently and accurately, thereby facilitating a smooth and timely approval process.
The visa issued for participants will cover the 6–8-month study period during their enrollment in the LI-MMIT Talented-Programe. In cases where students successfully pass the selection process for undergraduate studies and are granted student status at Chiang Mai University, their visas will be extended in accordance with university and faculty regulations. This extension process will be administered by the relevant university authorities.
Furthermore, the LI-MMIT Talented-Programe will compile and submit a list of participants who have obtained visas and enrolled in the program to the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, in compliance with current regulatory requirements. Students are required to maintain consistent class attendance to ensure the validity of their student visa status and to avoid any risk of visa termination.
