For students in the LI-MMIT Talented Program, proficiency in English is not merely a supplementary skill but a fundamental competency that directly influences academic success and professional readiness.

The program is designed as a trilingual pathway (Chinese–English–Thai), where English serves as the core language for accessing international academic resources, engaging with global case studies, and participating in cross-border collaborations. As students are expected to operate within international environments particularly through partnerships with overseas institutions strong English proficiency enables them to effectively comprehend academic materials, communicate complex ideas, and perform in multicultural settings.

In LI-MMIT Talented-Programe, the CMU language institute will be responsible for providing rigorous English language instruction to students in the program.

Furthermore, the integration of the English for Academic Purposes (EAP) course equips students with essential skills required for higher education, including academic writing, critical reading, analytical listening, and professional speaking. These competencies are particularly important for standardized assessments such as IELTS, CMU-TEGS which serve as a gateway to international academic and professional opportunities.

Therefore, the inclusion of intensive English training within the LI-MMIT Talented Program ensures that graduates are not only linguistically proficient but also academically and professionally prepared to engage in global contexts, pursue postgraduate studies, and contribute effectively in international organizations.
